Malinda & Adam: Revisited

I know I had shared a teaser of Malinda & Adam a few weeks ago, but since I just finished editing their session I wanted to share a few more favorites from that day. Again, I just want to reiterate how much fun I had with these two and since they shared that they've never taken nice photos together before, I hope they continue to take portraits together over the years as a memento of different points in their relationship. Everyone deserves to have beautiful photos that make them smile!

Etsy Love: Logo Unveiling

So I just wanted to take a minute to rave about Etsy.  For those of you that don't know, Etsy is made up of a a community of artists whom have virtual stores where they sell their wares and talents. I can't tell you how many amazing items I've bought over the past few years (wedding items, birthday gifts, and treats for myself to name a few), but it's a great feeling to purchase something from the artists themselves. A few months ago I decided to hire graphic designer Amber Mabe to design my logo for Sweet Digital. I am just beyond thrilled with the end result and wanted to give a shoutout to Amber and Etsy! This experience has just further solidified why I love Etsy. If you havent visited the site yet, I suggest you check it out. I must warn you also, that it may be addicting :) and with that, my logo:

A Sweet Miracle: Maternity Shoot

I just finished editing the many photos from a maternity shoot I did at the proud parents home, 2 weeks ago. The sweet mommy-to-be was absolutely glowing and I can't wait to take baby Carson's newborn portraits once he arrives!!! For the sake of privacy I've decided not to share any photos showing the couples faces, I'm sure you understand. Now on to the beautiful belly shots! :)

Fix It Fridays: Wednesday Edition

So there's this blog that I frequently read called I Heart Faces. It's a good way for photographers and photo enthusiasts to have some fun. Every Friday they post images that were submitted by readers hoping that someone can save their less than perfect pictures, hence "Fix It Fridays". I'm a little bit late to the game, so this photo is from last weeks challenge- but I wanted to share my "fix" with you just the same. If you have a minute you may want to head over to the blog and check out different people's take on the same photo, its pretty neat!

The "Before" photo.

The "After" photo.

It helps tremendously that the subject is completely adorable! After some cropping, level adjustments, brightness/contrast tweaking, clone stamp application, a sharpening filter and a warming filter we've arrived at the finished product. A great improvement if I do say so myself. ;)

Becky & Joe: Get Low

Alright well I promised more pictures from Becky & Joe's wedding, and now it's time to deliver! Jimmy Lutz of Lutz Entertainment helped keep the party goin' until The Mercury Grand shut 'em down. Judging by their expressions I'd say everyone had a great time! Thanks guys!

Jimmy & his assistant rocking out.

Joe & his dad groovin' to Elvis. They had some moves!

Good night!

Malinda & Adam: A Teaser

Ohmigosh! So I literally just walked in the door from my engagement shoot with Malinda & Adam and one word: adorable. This couple was so playful and fun I knew they'd easily play along with my silly ideas. (which I love that by the way) lol. We started off on the grounds of the Roosevelt Estate in Hyde Park, and ended with some cold iced tea at the Hyde Park Brewery. Thanks for a fun time Malinda & Adam! I'm a little sad I wont get to photograph their wedding day, but am so happy for them just the same! So while I work tirelessly catching up on alllll of my projects (a wedding, a maternity shoot, live performance photos of my good friends; Amazing Future, and of course this engagement shoot- all of which I plan on sharing with you!) I leave you with this teaser! (which was also the first photo of the session!)

So what's your favorite prop to see in photos, or something you'd like to see? I can't wait to hear your answers!

Becky & Joe: The Ceremony

Becky & Joe were my first wedding of the year and I couldn't have asked for a more laid-back, sweeter couple! Their day was bursting with love and I am so happy I got to be a part of it. Special thanks to Dave of DJ Reigada Photography for assisting me! These first photos are from pre to post-ceremony, and I'll have to do a separate post on the reception because let me tell you-- they ROCKED it! Can't wait to share some great dance photos with you later in the week! Becky & Joe were married on May 1, 2010 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Rhinebeck, NY followed by the reception at the Mercury Grand. We made a short pit stop at Mills Mansion in Staatsburg to take some portraits. Now on to the pictures!

Thanks for looking, and come back soon to see some awesome dance moves!!
